The invisible eyeliner trick: Tightlining

Saturday, April 25, 2015

Hey girl!

Sssh! I have a beauty secret to tell you. Have you heard about tightlining? It is an eyeliner technique that makes your eyelashes looks fuller. I've been doing tightlining eversince I knew about it. Since I've got thick and long eyelashes to start with (lucky me), whenever I used this technique, I didn't even need a mascara. This is real good when you are into a natural look. You don't have to overdo your eyes to make it stand out, it will highlight your eyes naturally. It is often called invisible eyeliner because it emphasizes the eyes without seeing the eyeliner. It makes you look like not wearing an eyeliner but you actually are. Sounds great? Let's try.

I prefer using kohl pencil eyeliner since it can work on wet surface of the eyes. Make sure to sanitize products you put into your eyes to avoid irritation and infection. Basically, we will be lining the inside of the upper lash line and in the roots of the upper lashes. At first, when I tried to do tightlining, I thought it was difficult and make me blink and teary-eyed everytime. I knew it and I've experience it. I worked directly with the eyeliner pencil and I have also tried to use angled eyeliner brush but sadly, my brush wasn't that soft enough to use for my inner eye. If you are planning to use brush, make sure that it is soft yet sturdy enough for the application.

Here's where we will line using kohl eyeliner pencil.

Let's start with positioning your head up a little to see the inner part of the upper lashes. It will be better if you have a movable mirror so you don't need to keep your head up instead adjust the angle of the mirror so you can see the upper lash line. Lift the upper lashes and lighly fill in the gap between the roots of the upper lashes using your eyeliner. You are done! Optional: you can do the same on the lower lash line too. I personally prefer to only fill in the upper lash line. It adds on my favorite everyday look.

Let's take a look with these eyes. You see the difference? You see how tightlining can make your eyelashes looks fuller and highlight your eyes dramatically.

Have you tried tightlining? You should. Tell me more about it.

Let's talk again on my next blog.
Yes, YOU lovely gorgeous.

    1. Hello Ms. Sandy! Yes, you should try tightlining too. As long as you sanitize the products you put in your eyes, it will be fine. And also, by using the right technique, doing it will be a breeze. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Thanks for sharing! Excellent tip! I have sensitive eyes, which eyeliner would you recommend?
