Belo Intensive Whitening Body Cream SPF 30
Net wt: 150 ml
Cost: 199.00 pesos

Hey girl!

Howdy? Lately, I've been so busy balancing my life, work, and study. I swear, I'm dead tired every time I got home. My pending reviews are piling up so I'd better share it with you before I forgot it at all. It is my pleasure to use whitening products on my skin since I have a medium to morena skin tone. It is not a secret that I wanted to have a fairer skin so I am fond of using whitening lotions and creams. One of the products that I've been using lately is this Belo Intensive Whitening Body Cream SPF 30, it is said to be best paired with their Belo Intensive Whitening Bar with Exfoliating Lemon Scrubs that I already reviewed HERE. I am truly excited to try out this lotion since Belo is one of my trusted brand when it comes to skincare. Somehow, it did reach my expectations. Let take a look at the product closely.

Who doesn't want a lotion with a lovely scent? Of course, we all wanted that refreshing aroma every after application and this lotion satisfies my sense of smell with its powdery scent. The tube is big enough (150 ml) for a couple of weeks of use and just enough time for me to see if there will be a whitening effects after 2 weeks of use. It also has a SPF 30 which protects me from UVB rays. I am not sure if it is broad spectrum because the labeling is a little bit confusing since it is just labeled with only "SPF" but claims to protects the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. By the way, in case you missed it, you should read my post on "HERE" if you want to know more about products with sunscreen.

The truth is I highly expect whitening results on this product. The combination of Kojic acid and Tranexamic acid that intensively whitens the skin should "werl, werk, werk" on me. On the other hand, the moisturizing effects doesn't fail me (let's talk about from scaly to moisturized). I also think that it is worth to mention that the consistency of the lotion is a quite runny for me. Well, they say it is just the "perfect" not thick nor runny consistency but for me it is more on a runny side which in the long run of usage, doesn't matter at all. The product itself is lightweight and can easily be applied throughout the body. It leaves my skin smooth and soft after every application.

The whitening effects?

I'm sorry that the photo doesn't justify the actual whitening results. Although, you can see clearly the moisturizing glow on the after photo. For the record, the photos below are not filtered. The lightning of the room had some bloom effect on the after photo.  My skin is still on the range of medium to morena. But now, it looks healthy and moisturized unlike before that it looks dull and dry. The before photo was taken on the last day of my usage of another whitening lotion and it also marks the first day of  using the Belo lotion. The lotion is used for a couple of weeks.

Overall experience. It  doesn't significantly whiten my skin, maybe it needs continued use or need to be paired with the soap. Whatever needs to be done, I still find it a good try. It doesn't satisfy the level of whitening that I wanted (just like most of the whitening lotions that I tried) but, on some other aspects it is worth my try. It is not that expensive at all at 199 pesos for 150 ml. It has good moisturizing effects and sun protection.

Let's talk again on my next blog.
