Back to school hairstyle: Waterfall braid

Sunday, June 21, 2015

Hey girl!

This will be the last hairstyle for back to school series. I've been wanting to create a tutorial of this waterfall braid. It's been a hairstyle 'bomb' years ago and we can't say anything but pretty about it. It is hard for me to take snapshots alone (that's why it took me so long to make a tutorial) but since, I have my cousin with me in this tutorial it was a breeze. You can definitely do it by yourself but it will be hard at first try. The struggle of keeping it aligned is  another thing but the process itself is simple but the result is beautifully complicated. WIthout further ado, let's do it!

Here's how to do the waterfall braid:

Step 1. Get a strand on the front side of your hair and divide it into three.
Step 2. Do the regular 3-strand braid twice (optional: you can also do it once)
Step 3. Then, get another strand at the top part of your hair and drop the bottom strand. (tip: clip/secure tightly the dropped strand or you can have someone to hold it for you). Renumber the remaining strands and do a regular 3-strand braid twice or once.
Step 4. Get another strand and drop the bottom strand.
Step 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 aligning the braid horizontally until you reach the other side of your hair. You can end it by doing a regular 3-strand braid down to the bottom of your hair or you can tie it with elastic.

That's it! Yey, you did it. It's easier than you think. It will look perfect in medium to long hair. School girls and campus teens will surely love it.

Back to school tip: Being smart and pretty is awesome but having a good heart is supreme. Don't let someone define you, do it yourself.

Let's talk again on my next blog.
Yes, YOU lovely gorgeous.

Love yourself because you are beautiful.

Hugs and Kisses,
