Royal Garden: Schlosspark, Oranienburg (Palace Park Oranienburg)

Saturday, January 19, 2019

Hey girl,

From Botanical garden (botanischer garten) on my latest blog post to another nature park in Berlin. I will share about Schlosspark in Oranienburg. It was just behind the Schloss Oranienburg (Oranienburg Palace). We planned to actually visit the palace but ended up in the palace park because the palace was closed when we got there. So far, this is the garden park that I wish to come back again and again. I don´t know but we really felt really a sense of relaxation and happiness when we went here. The entrance price was I think 3 euros which were worth it for the positivity of the place it brought us. It was a perfect day and perfect weather to enjoy the outdoor walk and activity. There were not too many people at the time, maybe because it was also a weekday. I bet many families visit this park during weekends.

How to get there:

From Friedrichstraße Bahnhof (train station), take the S1 heading to Oranienburg Bahnhof (train station). Then, you can walk from Oranienburg Bahnhof to the Schloßpark Oranienburg (Palace park Oranienburg).

Roam like the royal highness, play with the kids, picnic with the family. You definitely have that weekend vibe day out in this park. Maybe the fresh air, calm and lovely surroundings added up to the overall positivity this place brings. When I get on to some research about this park, this was originally a private garden of the royalties way back. Well obviously because it was located just behind the palace. I could imagine a morning walk every day of some royalties was just energizing.

This well-maintained park has cafeteria, mini-themed gardens, playground, big place to do outdoor activities and relax. After we went here, we felt like our stressful month was simply gone. It is a place I could go back every time to just fully chill out and relax.

Once you step on this garden, happy hormones were jumping out automatically on you. Maybe the surroundings, maybe the fresh air, or maybe these colorful flowers and plants around. It was a blessing in disguise that we headed to the palace and ended up here. Looking back on beautiful photos, I would totally want to go back soon. Summer, come soon, please!

It wasn't just a plain, beautiful garden, but also I was amazed at themed gardens that are worth to see. Every corner was picture-perfect indeed! Children will be kept busy with a big playground, giant trampoline (which we also try and we had so much fun), man-made beach (with all the sand, fountains, stone-build sea-creatures).

Just sitting in this garden cafeteria was already something. Plants everywhere. Oh, I love gardens.

At the end of the day, the most important was for me to rest my mind and body. It helped! Being with nature plus this well-maintained surrounding was the go-to place and I highly recommend this for everyone of all ages.

I miss endless Summer in PH!
